URGENT HIRING: In-Person Digital SAT Tutor – Northern Virginia

Novastar Prep is urgently seeking an experienced Digital SAT Tutor to provide one-on-one, in-home SAT preparation in Arlington, Vienna, Herndon, and surrounding Northern Virginia communities.

We have existing students in need of tutoring, including temporary coverage opportunities from mid-November through mid-December, with the potential for additional and ongoing assignments.

This flexible, part-time opportunity is ideal for an educator who is patient, encouraging, and skilled at adapting instruction to individual learning needs while maintaining high academic expectations.

Candidates should be comfortable teaching both Digital SAT Math and Reading & Writing, with an emphasis on test strategy, pacing, question analysis, and measurable score improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized, one-on-one SAT instruction in students' homes

  • Teach Digital SAT Math and Reading & Writing

  • Develop targeted strategies based on student strengths, needs, and goals

  • Incorporate structured, interactive instruction to support diverse learning styles

  • Track student progress and communicate instructional insights as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • At least 1 year of SAT tutoring or teaching experience strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of the Digital SAT format and both test sections

  • Experience working with neurodivergent students strongly preferred

  • Patient, adaptable, organized, and dependable

  • Reliable transportation and ability to tutor in person throughout Northern Virginia

  • Availability beginning mid-November 2026

  • Ability to pass a background check

Compensation & Benefits

  • $35+/hour for in-home instruction
