Novastar Prep is actively hiring SAT Math and Reading & Writing tutors for one-on-one, in-home instruction throughout Northern Virginia.

Choose the communities where you're comfortable tutoring! You do not need to travel throughout Northern Virginia. We match tutors with students based on subject expertise, availability, and preferred locations.

We have students currently awaiting tutor assignments and welcome applications from experienced SAT tutors, high school math and English educators, and other qualified instructors with strong test-preparation knowledge.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized, in-home PSAT and Digital SAT preparation.
Teach SAT Math and/or SAT Reading & Writing, incorporating effective test-taking strategies.
Adapt instruction to students' strengths, learning styles, and academic goals.
Help students improve pacing, problem-solving skills, and test confidence.
Monitor student progress and communicate instructional recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
At least one year of SAT tutoring or relevant teaching experience preferred.
Strong understanding of the Digital SAT and PSAT formats.
Ability to teach both Math and Reading & Writing preferred.
Experience supporting students with learning differences is a plus.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes in Northern Virginia.
Ability to pass a background check.
