Business Operations Manager (Fully Remote)
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Support the operational needs of small team of full-time and part time staff committed to high standards of educational services. 
  • Learn and understand the core academic, teaching, and business functions of the company
  • Consults with the leadership team, Directors on matters relating to financial and operational performance.
  • Pilots new educational offerings and identify opportunities for scaling nationwide
  • Process Bi-Weekly Payroll 
  • Process all related payment invoices, purchases, reimbursements, commissions and other company forms, and supply orders.
  • Ensures all service delivery meets required timelines and standards of quality and volume
  • Serves as point of contact for families and tutors regarding day-to-day operations
  • Support virtual and on-site tutors on policy, procedures and accounting related items. 
  • Recruits, trains, and prepares performance reports for internal staff
  • Collaborates on the budgeting process to create ideas for ongoing profit improvement.
  • Monitor contractual obligations and ensures consistency with departmental budget, goals, and programmatic initiatives
  • Provides continuous and visible ownership of end-to-end process performance and creates a strategy for future improvement plans, connecting processes
  • Implements and improves upon existing finance and accounting policies and procedures and ensures accuracy of journal entries and other key inputs.
  • Identifies opportunities for process and product improvements; collaborate cross-functionally to develop solutions
  • Develops team objectives and work plans and delegate assignments to direct reports
  • Provides support in hitting individual and team deadlines and goals by helping remove obstacles and tackle problems
  • Optimizes resources with the needs of the organization to achieve established goals
  • Bachelor’s degree (in business preferred but not necessary).
  • Experience with progressive responsibilities within budget management, bookkeeping, and operational efficiencies.
  • Positive team-player with strong interpersonal and communication skills; oral and written.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong analytical skills relying on the Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to manage project timelines on delivery
  • Able to operate with established guidelines and help create new guidelines
  • Knowledge of K-12 learning trends and the changing academic landscape preferred
  • Flexibility and confidence working in a fast-paced environment and solving problems
  • Virtual management experience with a team of 5 or more members
Compensation: Annual Salary Range: $40K-$50K 
Performance incentives + company stock options
