Novastar Prep is seeking an experienced Part-Time Digital SAT Tutor to provide in-home SAT preparation sessions in Burke, VA. This position is designed for educators with strong proficiency in the Digital SAT who can deliver structured, high-quality instruction with confidence.

\n\n

The tutor will be responsible for teaching Digital SAT Reading and Writing and/or Math sections, with a strong emphasis on test strategy, pacing, question analysis, and score improvement. This is a one-on-one, in-person role focused specifically on Digital SAT preparation, but you will also qualify to tutor remote students as well if interested.

Role Responsibilities

\n\n

Deliver in-person Digital SAT instruction in a one-on-one setting
Teach Reading and Writing and/or Math sections of the Digital SAT
Guide students through test strategies, pacing techniques, and question analysis
Adapt instruction to the student’s skill level while maintaining structured sessions
Track student progress and communicate insights as needed

\n\n

Qualifications

\n\n

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 1 year of SAT teaching or tutoring experience required
Strong knowledge of the Digital SAT format, adaptive structure, and question types
Ability to clearly explain strategies and concepts in a one-on-one setting
Strong communication, organization, and professionalism
Reliable and punctual
Ability to travel to student homes or libraries in Burke, VA and nearby locations in Northern Virginia
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Ability to commit to at least one academic semester
Comfort using digital teaching tools and platforms
Ability to pass a background check

Compensation

\n\n

$40-$45 per hour for in-home instruction, based on experience
$30 per hour for online instruction
Bi-weekly direct deposit
Administrative, advising, and scheduling support
