Novastar Prep is seeking an experienced Part-Time Digital SAT Tutor to provide in-home SAT preparation sessions in Vienna, VA. This position is designed for educators with strong proficiency in the Digital SAT who can deliver structured, high-quality instruction with confidence.

The tutor will be responsible for teaching Digital SAT Reading, Writing and Language, and Math, with a strong emphasis on test strategy, pacing, question analysis, and score improvement. This is a one-on-one, in-home role focused specifically on Digital SAT preparation.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home Digital SAT instruction in a one-on-one setting
• Teach Reading, Writing and Language, and Math sections of the Digital SAT
• Guide students through test strategies, pacing techniques, and question analysis
• Adapt instruction to the student’s skill level while maintaining structured sessions
• Track student progress and communicate insights as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 1 year of SAT teaching or tutoring experience required
• Strong knowledge of the Digital SAT format, adaptive structure, and question types
• Ability to clearly explain strategies and concepts in a one-on-one setting
• Strong communication, organization, and professionalism
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to travel to student homes in Vienna, VA and nearby locations in Northern Virginia 

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

• Consistent after-school and/or weekend availability required
• Ability to commit to at least one academic semester
• Comfort using digital teaching tools and platforms
• Ability to pass a background check

Compensation 

• $40-$45 per hour for in-home instruction, based on experience
• Bi-weekly direct deposit
• Administrative, advising, and scheduling support
