Novastar Prep is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiting) to strengthen our nationwide tutor pipeline and bring in exceptional educators from a wide range of backgrounds. This role focuses on proactive recruiting; finding great tutors, engaging them, and guiding them through a clean and organized hiring process. This is a fully remote role with no travel required.
Role Overview
You will focus on sourcing and recruiting tutors across a wide range of academic disciplines, with an emphasis on high-caliber candidates from top universities, graduate programs, and subject-matter expert communities. You will own the recruiting pipeline end-to-end, ensuring a clean, efficient, and positive candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit tutors across K–12 core subjects, AP/IB, SAT/ACT, writing, STEM, foreign languages, elementary specialization, and enrichment subjects.
Proactively source candidates from top universities, graduate programs, competitive majors, and experienced educators.
Develop and maintain sourcing channels through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Glassdoor, Handshake, university job boards, academic societies, and teaching forums.
Manage the full recruiting cycle within the ATS, including resume review, phone screens, documentation collection, interview scheduling, next-step communication, and onboarding coordination.
Maintain accurate, detailed candidate notes and clean pipeline tracking so internal teams have full visibility at all times.
Deliver a professional, organized, and positive applicant experience that reflects Novastar Prep’s standards.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent sourcing, university outreach, HR coordination, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred, especially in education, human resources, or a related discipline.
Strong familiarity with LinkedIn sourcing tools, job boards, and modern recruiting methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume pipelines.
